Sami and reindeer experience

2018-05-1611:34 Kristin

The Sami people are the indigenous people inhabiting the arctic area of Sápmi. Their culture is the oldest culture in much of Northern Norway. The area around Målselv Mountain Village is a traditional spot for the Sami people and their reindeer.

On arrival at Målselv Mountain Village our guide will meet you and take you to the Sami area. The Sami guide will share stories about this historical and rich culture around a open fire in an authentic lavvu (Sami herdsmen's tent). Learn lasso throwing techniques, meet and feed the reindeers. You will have the opportunity to take photos during the experience.

Regular winter clothes should be enough during this experience, but we can provide with warm thermal suits and winter boots if needed.
